Cross-platform fitness platform for web, mobile, and Apple TV
Web, iOS, Android, and Apple TV applications that give subscribers one connected place to practice, learn, and track progress.

YogaRenew needed more than a website — they needed a connected product experience across web, mobile, and TV for subscribers and teachers.
Orpheus designed and built web, iOS, Android, and Apple TV applications as one cohesive product. Complex cross-platform logistics — content delivery, progress tracking, subscriber entitlements, and teacher-training workflows — sit behind a unified experience.
The platform brings subscription content, learning tools, and progress into a product that can serve customers wherever they practice.
From an instructor showcase to a subscription learning platform
YogaRenew approached us in need of a Learning Management and Video app to implement for their students. The client originally wanted their students who graduated from their 200, 300, and 500-hour courses to establish themselves online as certified yoga instructors, with a custom web platform to promote their videos and classes.
Then the client shifted their focus to a web platform where YogaRenew users subscribe to view their video classes and sign up for the YogaRenew Teacher Training Courses with a Learning Management System.
One app for classes, courses, live events, and subscriptions
After extensive market research and competitive analysis of other online platforms, we developed an online web and mobile app with yoga classes, courses, series, live events, and subscription services.
The app features video integrations, Feed.fm functionality, custom customer reports, subscription services, mobile apps for iOS and Android, an Apple TV app, and Stripe integration.

A platform that works on every device
Research
To start our generative research, we took a deep dive into the current app market to determine the top competitors and target market. We discovered that users want a user-friendly, navigable platform that works on all devices. For the client, we discovered we needed to develop a user-friendly and intuitive back end to create video content and a learning management system to create courses.
Stakeholder collaboration
We worked with YogaRenew to move from an instructor showcase concept to a subscription learning product. Together we defined the member and staff workflows across web, mobile, Apple TV, course delivery, live scheduling, content publishing, subscriptions, and reporting.
Designed for subscribers and the staff who teach them
Web app
The web app is used by both subscribers to YogaRenew’s programs and by YogaRenew staff to create, upload, and share classes, courses, live events, and series.
Mobile app
The mobile app lets subscribers on iOS and Android view their programs on their phone, or cast to a TV to complete their classes.
Apple TV app
YogaRenew is available on Apple TV for subscribers to use directly on their TVs.

A shared product foundation across web, mobile, and TV
Cross-platform applications
The member experience spans React on the web, React Native and Expo on iOS and Android, and a React Native Apple TV app. Classes, series, courses, progress, and subscriptions carry across those surfaces while each app is adapted to its device.
Content, commerce, and operations
Node.js services and a Strapi publishing system support the video catalog and staff workflows. Stripe and in-app purchases manage subscriber access, Feed.fm adds music, and course progress and certificates connect learning activity across the platform.
Testing the workflows that connect the ecosystem
Course progress
Automated tests cover course-progress calculations and navigation through course details, lessons, and certificates, helping protect the learning journey as the applications evolve.
Subscriber access
Subscription logic is tested across active, expired, trial, Stripe, and in-app purchase states so access decisions remain consistent as account conditions change.
Cross-platform refinement
The team iterated on shared features and device-specific behavior across web, mobile, and Apple TV, including media playback, captions, music, and content navigation.

Everything subscribers and staff need, in one place
Video library integration
We developed a process to upload videos and classify them by the different types of yoga.
Mobile app (iOS/Android)
Subscribers can use the full app on their phones and mobile devices.
Stripe integration
We integrated Stripe in the back end so YogaRenew staff can easily view subscriber accounts and payment methods, and run reports.
Subscription services
Monthly and yearly subscriptions, along with coupon codes for discounts.
A connected product launched across web, mobile, and Apple TV
Released in 2022
YogaRenew launched the connected platform in 2022, giving subscribers access to classes, series, live schedules, courses, progress, and certificates across web, iOS, Android, and Apple TV.
One ecosystem for practice, learning, and operations
YogaRenew gained a connected product family in place of separate channel experiences. Subscribers can move between classes and structured courses on the devices that fit their routines, while progress and certificate workflows make longer-form learning visible.
Behind the member experience, YogaRenew staff can publish content, manage subscriptions, review customer information, and run reports through the systems Orpheus built and integrated.
